Your favourite sport/ physical activity
My favourite sport to watch is women’s basketball (so pumped that Toronto has WNBA team now!). My favourite way to move my body is resistance training and going on walks with friends.
Your favourite post-workout snack
A big breakfast (I workout in the morning!).
Your favourite pump-up song
I actually don’t have an all-time favourite – just any upbeat song will do!
What advice would you give your 12-year-old self?
Speak up for yourself, express yourself more, be more confident, take up more space, and be more patient.
Who is your role model, and why?
Much like my answer to “your favourite pump-up song,” I’d say I don’t have an all-time favourite role model, but rather I’m inspired by every single story or achievement from any womxn in sport that I hear/read/watch no matter how big or small. I’m also very inspired by the womxn in my life, both inside and outside of this organization. Always endless learning opportunities.
How did you first get involved with Fast and Female? Tell your story!
I had the wonderful opportunity of conducting my master’s research (and coaching) for Girls and Women in Motion’s girls-only soccer program (in which Fast and Female is a trustee) during the summer of 2024 – where I met Gaby! After that, Gaby and the programs team at Fast and Female graciously let me complete a practicum/internship with them, which quickly turned in to a staff position as a part-time program coordinator! Loving every moment so far.
