Girls Forward is proud to introduce the following members of our 2025-2027 Fundraising Committee, whose backgrounds and expertise will help strengthen our ongoing fundraising work.

Tianna Going

Sport has been a defining part of Tianna’s life, shaping her confidence, resilience, and sense of self from a young age. Growing up as a competitive athlete and continuing to spend her time ski touring, mountain biking, and exploring the outdoors, she credits sport with influencing who she is today- both personally and professionally. In her career in innovation and technology, she brings the same drive and determination she learned through sport. As a member of the Girls Forward Fundraising Committee, Tianna is passionate about helping create opportunities for young women to build confidence, feel empowered, and discover their strength.

Larissa Little

Larissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and a Master’s in Business Management from the University of Calgary. She currently works in Calgary’s energy sector as a Growth & Strategy professional and is a passionate advocate for women in leadership. A former competitive athlete in volleyball, rugby, and swimming, Larissa understands the confidence and resilience sport builds in young women. Having traveled to over 60 countries, she brings a global perspective and deep appreciation for diverse experiences. As a fundraising volunteer with Girls Forward, she is committed to empowering the next generation of girls to lead boldly- in sport, business, and beyond.

Hannah Newsome

Through Hanna’s experience working in donor relations and fundraising within sport nonprofit organizations, she is passionate about driving meaningful impact that expands access and opportunity for girls. Supporting the Girls Forward Foundation is deeply personal to Hannah, and she is excited to help ensure every girl has the chance to build lifelong skills through continued participation in sport.

With over 12 years of competitive hockey, sport has shaped who Hannah is and continues to fuel her love for skiing and outdoor adventure. For the past five years, she has coached girls hockey, witnessing firsthand the powerful impact sport has on young girls’ self-esteem, development, and the importance of passing down mentorship among women and girls in sport.

Ayva Pearson

Ayva is a Grade 11 student from Calgary, Alberta and a dedicated member of the Girls Forward Fundraising Committee. She is extremely passionate about sports, the outdoors, leadership, and women’s empowerment, and is actively involved in multiple leadership positions at a high school level. Outside of her volunteer work, she’s happiest on long adventures outdoors. You can also usually find her on a board of some sort- snow, skate, or surf. Anna is excited to be part of the Girls Forward Fundraising Committee, supporting an organization that empowers girls to grow in confidence, leadership, and connection.
